Graduation Information

West Georgia Technical College graduation exercises are scheduled once per semester. Students should meet with their faculty advising coach before completing the graduation application.

The graduation application is for NEW applicants only. If you have already earned an award and would like another copy, you will need to complete the Award Replacement Request form and pay the replacement fee (more information in the FAQs below). If you need proof of the award with your classes listed, please request an official transcript.

Semester of Expected Graduation:

  • Finishing the program-required courses over Summer semester:
    • Application priority deadline March 15th for Summer Graduation
  • Finishing the program-required courses over Fall semester:
    • Application priority deadline July 15th for Fall Graduation
  • Finishing program’s required courses over Spring semester:
    • Application priority deadline October 15th for Spring Graduation

Prior to graduation, each degree, diploma, or certificate student must:

  • Achieve regular program admission status for the program.
  • Complete all program curriculum requirements.
  • Earn a graduation grade point average of 2.0 in their program of study.
  • Be in good academic standing (not on academic suspension or academic probation) with West Georgia Technical College.
  • Complete a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of the course work of a particular program of study at WGTC.
  • Settle all financial obligations with West Georgia Technical College, including the $40 graduation fee, if applicable.
  • Submit a Graduation Application online (link below; please read through all the information listed here first).

FAQs:

Any student—regardless of degree, diploma, or certificate—may participate in the graduation ceremony once they have met all the requirements listed above. A student must fill out the graduation application and then check their student email on a regular basis for more information. Graduation can take place at Murphy and/or LaGrange depending on the semester.
