Amber Wilson Named Vice President of Finance for West Georgia Technical College
CARROLLTON, GA – West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) President Dr. Julie Post is pleased to announce the promotion of Amber Wilson to Vice President of Finance. Amber has been serving as Interim Vice President since April 2024.
After earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of West Georgia in 2001, Wilson started her 22-year tenure at WGTC in 2002 as a cashier in Financial Services. With dedication and expertise, she progressed through roles such as Accounts Receivable Supervisor, Accounting Manager, and Executive Director of Financial Services.
“Amber has proven herself to be exceptionally capable, consistently demonstrating her dedication and hard work in every role she’s taken on at WGTC,” said Dr. Post. “I commend her for her outstanding contributions, and I have full confidence in her ability to excel in her new role as Vice President.”
As VP of Finance, Wilson will continue to oversee Financial Services, leading the college towards success by leveraging her wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to excellence.
“I believe in the mission of West Georgia Tech, and my passion for technical education has only grown since I first started in 2002,” said Wilson. “I am excited for what this new role means and look forward to serving West Georgia Technical College for many more years.”
